Dr. Sandeep Vijan is the medical director at Salt Day Spa in Pueblo, Colorado, bringing over ten years of medical experience and a background in general surgery as a board-certified general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Vijan received his medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Medical School in Mumbai, India. He later completed his general surgery residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. There, Dr. Vijan was awarded Chief Resident Teacher of the Year and received the Nygard Travel Award for excellence in clinical research. 

He later received accreditation as a certified physician executive by the American Association for Physician Leadership in Tampa, Florida. Awarded by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, Dr. Vijan gained skills in leading large groups, managing budgets, and applying strategic business insights. 

With a passion for learning, Dr. Vijan received his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts. 

Contributing to his experience as a general surgeon at Sangre De Cristo Surgical Associates, PC, in Pueblo, Colorado, Dr. Vijan has used his expertise to successfully lead as the chief quality officer at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado, and the cohort leader of the American Association of Physician Leadership in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Sandeep Vijan prioritizes leading with compassion and communicating with a purpose. He enjoys welcoming new patients and serving with his Salt Day Spa team.
